Hello and welcome to Trabantland…

This site is a place to collect and share some of what I’ve learned over the years in the search for U2-inspired guitar tones and the technology behind it.  Mainly it is focused on electronics projects.

Cheers and  I hope you enjoy your visit!

If you have any questions you can contact me through the form below.

Pricing information for pedals can be found at my commercial website: www.dts-art.com

Best Regards,
Dave

I have the FA-1, TC dual band parametric which really gets me close. What is Edge’s effects chain that he used for Joshua tree? do you know???
    Thanks,
    Alex

    • trabantland says:

      Hi Alex,

He uses different guitars and effect chains for different songs – it’s not the same for the whole album. If I had to, I’d guess most of that album was recorded using the Korg SDD-3000 delay. (It doesn’t sound much like the Electro-Harmonix Memory Man to me, and 1986 is probably too early for the TC2290). Tone-wise, you can’t go wrong with a Stratocaster into SDD-3000 into a Vox AC30.

  5. Christoph says:

    Hi Dave,

i order my pedal on last December.
Is there a different between the sound on the new 2012 model?

    Regards

    Chris

    • trabantland says:

Hi Chris, No the circuit inside is the same as your pedal. The changes on the 2012 version are cosmetic.

      Best Regards,
      Dave
